Featured Project

Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel

Construction of a 9 story health care facility that specializes in caring for children on the Legacy Emanuel Medical Center Campus.

Scope of work included sprayed applied fireproofing, metal stud framing systems (interior and exterior), drywall installation and finish, acoustical ceilings, installation of sound assemblies, custom wood ceilings, and architectural glass reinforced gypsum components.

We were proud to take part in this project with Hoffman Construction for many reasons, the first being the nature of the project, and being a part of building something that will serve the community in such an important way for years to come. The message that was delivered throughout the project was "It is about the kids". This  cultivated a huge amount of pride among all of us involved with the project.

Dynamic design elements including a wide range of custom products that were included in our scope of work made this project unique. Collaborating with Hoffman Construction, ZGF Architecture, and multiple manufacturers we were able to provide a  high quality custom installation. This project has been recognized by the Northwest Walls an Ceiling Bureau 2012 Outstanding Project of the Year for Suspended Ceilings. It was also recognized nationally by CISCA as 2nd place in the Outstanding Custom Ceiling category.

Innovation was key in creating a plan to prefabricate typical toilet rooms on a lower floor and raise them to their respective floor utilizing a crane  when trade sequencing allowed. Many of the other crafts on the project participated  in this innovative plan to complete this work in a manner that provided benefits in safety, efficiency, sequencing, and schedule.
